Biography
Harris Silver left the Canadian Military in 2004 and took up a series of positions with the United Nations and the US State department in Afghanistan for the next three years. During his experience he re-kindled an interest in photography and had an opportunity to develop his photographic style and technique, capturing interesting moments during his sojourn.
Three Years in Afghanistan: Views On Disarmament, Elections And Counter-Narcotics, was his first exhibition, conducted in Toronto in April 2009.
He is presently studying further photographic techniques at Ryerson University, as well as working on several other projects that have been brewing in his imagination for some time.
