New Photo/Video Art - Projections On Buildings

Here is a great display of a new type of photo/video art from Chase Jarvis’s Blog. where photos are projected on buildings to animate them, usually set to music. It can be done either as a live performance as seen in the above link and as done this past summer in Quebec City, or it can be done after the fact in digital manipulation. As Chase mentions, a company named NuFormer seems to be doing a lot of work in this in Europe.

These are fantastic possibilities for providing great live performances, as well as doing some amazing advertising campaigns. Toronto could be a great venue for one of these presentations during either the Contact or Luminato festivals.
